At What Age Should My Child See the Dentist?

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommends that your child should have their first visit when the first tooth erupts, or no later than their first birthday. First visits are established to help your child feel safe and comfortable at the dentist’s office, so future visits are stress-free and exciting! From your very first appointment, Dr. Wendy is excited to get to know you and your little one. Based on your child’s age and stage of development, we will do a cleaning and Dr. Wendy will gently take a look at their smile. As board-certified pediatric dentist, she’ll assess your child’s oral development, provide helpful tips for a healthy smile, and answer any questions you may have regarding your child’s dental care.
