General Dentistry

Frenectomies

Up to 10% of children are born with a tight or short frenulum that attaches to their lip or tongue (known as lip and tongue ties) which restricts their movement.

This can cause long-term issues if left untreated, including difficulties breastfeeding, speech impediments, difficulty gaining weight, and long-term feeding issues. We can correct this through a quick surgical procedure that cuts the frenulum under local anesthetic to restore mobility.
