Your Child’s First Checkup
When your child first arrives at Sprouting Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, they’ll be met by our cheerful, welcoming team, and get to experience all the fun of our whimsical San Diego office. Once back in the operatory, your child’s teeth will be gently and thoroughly cleaned. You’ll then get to meet Dr. Wendy as she takes the time to get to know her little patient, performing a comprehensive exam while going over their medical and dental history with you. She’ll go over all of the dental options available, and guide you toward the most gentle, conservative treatment plan, keeping your child’s unique developmental stage in mind throughout the process.
We’ll never push unnecessary treatment, and always focus on quality preventive care and education for our patients and their parents to empower them to take the dental health of their families into their own hands.
Recall Visits
When your child returns for further treatment, or just their next 6-month appointment, they’ll be greeted with the same warm welcome from the familiar faces of their previous visit. They’ll get their pearly whites gently cleaned and polished before Dr. Wendy performs her thorough exam. She’ll continue on to discuss her findings with you and your child, tailoring her language for the age of your little one, and make recommendations for additional care if necessary. As your child continues to visit us, they will become more comfortable with the team and the office, and hopefully more excited about taking care of their dental health!
